In a short version for those who don't have time to read long reviews - if you go to České Budějovice and don't book a stay in these apartments, you're making a real mistake, I promise you. I also looked at Clarion, Věž and the like, but compared to what you get here, don't think twice and book Vivien Apartments. IMMEDIATELY. You can't get such luxury and comfort here, even for many times more money 😉.
Now the long version - it's right on the high street not far from Hlavní nádraží, and I booked a weekend when it was 39 outside in the shade. I come in, close the curtains, turn on the air conditioning and be absolutely oblivious to the world all weekend. Perfect isolation from all external stimuli, no noise from the street, no heat, simply nothing. Perfect relaxation for us.
I booked impulsively at work, the owner was on the phone the whole time from that moment on, I had all the information clearly arranged on WhatsApp and he dealt with me even in the evening, or rather at night, because I left Pilsen at 9:00 PM and we arrived around 11:30 PM. Parking behind the block, all sorted out. On foot 2 minutes walk.
I'm a builder so I'll try !briefly! to stop at the quality of the room from the professional part and what you actually get for your money - a wonderful apartment where all the colors optically matched each other, I booked Comfort in muted tones.
The whole room in gray tones, the colors matched perfectly, nothing caught the eye. No details, nothing. At the entrance to the room in the hallway, a contrasting orange squeegee, it looks great. All backlit LED strips - room ceiling, bed, bathroom.
Now I'm finishing a 5***** hotel in Mariánské Lázně, where we solved the same details, niches in the ceilings and bathrooms, but I'm a little afraid to admit that here it's done a little better, even if I compare it to the best rooms I've been involved in.
Here you can really see that the owners put in the work, not only in the implementation, but already when they were thinking about how it will all look. THIS is how the reconstruction should be done and THIS is how it should all look, everyone go and see it. You won't get this for the same money anywhere, certainly not in the Czech Republic.
Bathroom. I was fascinated by the details. No dull plastic shower corner, but a shower separated from the rest of the room only by glass, the entire space for the bathroom is relatively large, you don't squeeze anywhere. Design trowel, hidden frame. That's a luxury in itself, but keep listening. The shower head is both on the hose and mainly in the ceiling, so water is basically raining on you.
The owner put it there because he likes it, totally unbelievable. Everywhere else you'll see those sets where the battery has a bent 2.20 pipe above your head. Here it is in the ceiling. If you think you won't feel the difference, I'd be wrong. There is nothing better and you will find it all here. Illuminated mirror, can be switched on separately. A luxurious wide sink on a pedestal in the wall, it doesn't even move, it doesn't stand a chance. This is a detail that is handled many times better than what we did as a professional construction company and the entire apparatus that deals with it on a daily basis. The whole bathroom is worth it, incredible relaxation. This is exactly how I want it at home.
Have we talked about the bed yet? When I saw it from the photos, I wasn't completely thrilled, but I can promise you that you won't miss anything there. High-quality wooden construction made of massive elements, which does not budge even an inch and can carry perhaps an elephant, you will not see that anywhere else.
I'm allergic to mattresses that come apart, so I'm always wondering if the mattress is intact. It doesn't budge an inch no matter what you do. Hard/soft just right, a joy to lie down on. You can also see the TV from the bed. It's a bit at an angle, but it's fine and I didn't mind it at all. A million pillows to go with it, so everyone can find one that suits them.
And the best thing? Storage space right next to the mattress along the entire length, so your phone, tablet and water glasses will find their place there. An incredibly practical detail, you will all want it at home and wherever you dig a table.
What next? A spacious sofa in front of the TV wall, I sat on it with my girlfriend for hours and I didn't miss anything at all. The television is of good quality and can do almost everything you could wish for.
