Lannova stopa — avenue, monument and shipyard

Lannova třída leads from the station to the centre, so you may walk it before you know whom it is named after. Vojtěch Lanna was born in the shipyard and later built hundreds of boats a year. When the railway came, he did not treat it as rivalry — he had freight carried straight to the river.
The street from the station to the centre is named after a man born in the shipyard who started as an oarsman in his father's yard. He built an operation that one year launched three hundred and fifty boats — and when the railway arrived he integrated it and had freight brought to the river.

- Monument in Na Sadech park — unveiled 1879, by Viennese sculptor Franz Xaver Pönninger. It has a second story: after the war it was torn down and not unveiled again until 1993.
- Walk Lannova třída from the station to the centre and imagine this was the fastest, most representative route into town — hence the width.
- There is a public landing by the shipyard. You can walk around the site; historic buildings are visible from outside.
- Bistro Lannova Loděnice is, according to the operator, in the house where Lanna was born in 1805
- From Kavárna Lanna you see the shipyard across the Vltava. The café is deliberately named after him, not borrowed fame.
