A groomed ruin above the Malše has a castle museum, seasonal opening and parking about half a kilometre in the village — of four castles near Kaplice the most comfortable for visitors who want more than overgrown forest torso.
Pořešín differs from Sokolčí, Velešín and Louzek: Hrady na Malši created a marked tour, castle museum and in season a tavern. Cars stay in Pořešín village; you cannot park at the castle and an older source gives parking about 500 m away. The walk from the village slopes gently down, not a hill climb.

- First visit the castle museum and the model of the castle; then the wall remains read better.
- Walk the tour route to the end of the headland and notice moats and gates, not only palace walls.
- If the tavern is open, pause after the tour.
