Large romantic ruin above the Vltava–Křemžský potok confluence always means a walk — from Třísov the shortest path is about 1.5 km; a longer asphalt variant 2–2.5 km suits prams.
Dívčí Kámen is one of the most rewarding ruins near Budějovice: large enough to explore, close enough for a short drive. You cannot drive to the castle; the official site recommends Třísov or Holubov as start. The shortest red route from Třísov is about 1.5 km and steep at the end; prams and bikes use a longer asphalt route about 2–2.5 km. The castle is open year-round from dawn to dusk and outside staff hours you can pay entry by QR code.

- Do not skip the oppidum on the approach — it is part of the path to the castle.
- Walk the site to the parts above the confluence; position between water and rock is a main reason to come.
